Description
The KATO 24-039 is a 7 oz / 200 g bag of model railroad ballast in KATO's signature mixed brown-grey colour — suitable for both N and HO scale, used to ballast non-Unitrack flex track or to weather the edges of Unitrack roadbed for added realism.
How it's applied: Sprinkle dry along the track shoulders, brush smooth, then wet with isopropyl alcohol and apply diluted PVA glue (50:50 with water) via dropper or syringe. Allow 24 hours to dry hard. The result is a prototypically-textured ballasted track ready for weathering.
