Description
The KATO 23-160 is an N scale Urban Platform DX island-platform station set — the modern Japanese commuter-rail island platform (passengers boarding either side of the platform), with stair-up tower, station awning, and modern stainless / glass fittings.
Prototype: Island platforms run the centre of double-track Japanese commuter mainlines (Yamanote Line, Toyoko Line, Keisei Line) and are the visual signature of urban Japanese rail. The Urban Platform DX is KATO's premium-detail island platform with finely-moulded waiting rooms, vending-machine kiosks, and platform-edge tactile strips.
Layout uses: Drop into a double-track section to create a commuter station; pairs with KATO Bullet Train, JR commuter EMU, and Unitrack double-track viaduct (#20-401) for a complete urban scene.
