Description
The KATO 11-211 is the Version 2 interior LED lighting kit for N scale passenger cars — a smaller, slimmer revision of the #11-210 with reduced PCB footprint to fit short cars and special-interior cars (dome cars, dome-observation tail cars). Not a DCC accessory; works on both DC analog and DCC layouts.
How it works: Power is picked up from the truck wheels via factory contacts on most KATO passenger cars. A bridge rectifier keeps the LEDs lit in both directions; constant-current driver maintains steady brightness from idle to mainline speed.
Installation: Snap the strip into the underside of the car's roof; no soldering required on KATO cars with integrated contact pads. Particularly suited to KATO's Bullet Train, Amtrak, and shorter-format passenger cars where the original #11-210 is too long.
