Description
The KATO 11-210 is an interior LED lighting kit for N scale passenger cars — a self-contained white-LED strip that slides into the roof of a passenger car to light the interior through the windows. Not a DCC accessory; the kit works on both DC analog and DCC layouts.
How it works: Power is picked up from the truck wheels via factory contacts on most KATO passenger cars. A bridge rectifier on the strip means the LEDs stay lit in both directions of travel; a constant-current driver keeps brightness steady from idle to mainline speed.
Installation: Snap the strip into the underside of the car's roof; no soldering required on KATO cars with the integrated contact pads. Works with the KATO Amtrak Superliner, Bullet Train, VIA Rail, and Japanese passenger sets.
