Description
The Digitrax UP6Z is a LocoNet Universal Panel with built-in 3-amp Z scale voltage reducer — a dual-purpose Z scale operating panel. Drops the booster's track voltage by 4 or 6 volts so Z scale locomotives (rated for 8V, not the 14V mainline DCC voltage) run safely with standard Digitrax boosters — and at the same time provides a 6-port LocoNet panel for connecting throttles around the layout edge.

- Z scale voltage reducer: 4V or 6V reduction at 3A continuous
- Why you need it: Standard DCC track voltage (14–16V) is too high for Z scale — burns out motors. The UP6Z drops it to a Z-safe ~8V while passing the DCC signal through unchanged.
