The Digitrax SDYH168DST is a HO SoundFX v3+ PREMIUM mobile sound decoder — 1.0A / 2A peak motor + STEREO on-board sound. 16 audio channels + 128Mb "Y-size" sound memory for high-definition audio. Dual 8Ω 16×26×9mm box speakers create a stereo-like soundstage — much more realistic than typical mono. Supports faster .spj download. 6 × FX7 function outputs (newer engine than FX3). 8 CV-selectable sound schemes (steam + diesel).
Fitment: HO locomotives with space for a dual-speaker stereo install — premium-tier sound for show locomotives, brass, and large units where audio fidelity matters. Plug: Digitrax 9-pin Easy Connect harness + dual speaker outputs.
