The Digitrax DN166I3 is an N scale DCC mobile decoder — 1.5A continuous / 2A peak motor control, 6 function outputs with Digitrax FX3 lighting effects.
Drop-in for the 2017-and-later Intermountain N SD40-2 — check production year before ordering, since earlier Intermountain SD40-2s use a different board layout that this decoder does not fit. 1.5A motor current handles the SD40-2's heavy 6-axle drive.
Fitment: Intermountain N scale SD40-2 (2017 and newer production runs only). Plug / form-factor: Intermountain N SD40-2 2017+ light-board replacement (drop-in).
