Description
The Digitrax DB210 is the 3/5/8 Amp Auto-Reversing DCC Booster (no command station) — a DCC booster that takes the command station's logic signal and amplifies it into the high-current track signal that actually powers the rails. Add a booster when one command station can't supply enough current for a large layout, or when you want separate power districts to isolate short circuits.
- Output: 3 / 5 / 8 amp selectable, up to 8A peak total
- Auto-reversing built in — handles reversing loops / wyes without external auto-reverser
- Multi-scale capable: N + HO + large scale with custom voltage trim
- LocoNet plug-and-play — no dip-switch surgery, just plug in and configure via OPSW
- Easy dip-switch setup
- Auto-resetting over-temperature and short-circuit protection
- Track status indicators on the front panel
- Stabilized track drive output
- Over-voltage protected, IPL (in-place loader) firmware-updatable
- Auto-shutdown if command-control signal is lost — prevents runaway trains
- Pairs with DCS210+ / DCS240+ command stations to add additional power districts
About LocoNet: LocoNet is Digitrax's two-way control network that connects throttles, boosters, command stations, detection blocks, and signal modules across a layout — using standard 6-conductor RJ12 telephone cable. The two-way communication is what enables advanced features like transponding (knowing which loco is where), real-time slot status, and CV read-back from anywhere on the system.
About Digitrax: Digitrax is North America's leading manufacturer of DCC systems and has been the architect of the DCC standard since the 1990s. The proprietary LocoNet control bus is the most widely-supported throttle and accessory interface in club layouts worldwide, and Digitrax decoders / boosters / command stations are fully NMRA DCC compliant and interoperable with all NMRA-compliant DCC equipment.
