Description
The Caboose Industries 210S is a manual ground throw for hand-operating model-railroad turnouts.
What it is: Caboose Industries sprung ground throw with operating low-level target plus ABS target parts and yard-track numbers (1 through 9) — for prototype-correct numbered switch stands in yards and industrial leads.
- Scale fit: HO and S
- Travel: 0.190"
- Type: Sprung + low-level target + numbered yard plates
- Target: Operating low-level + ABS-plastic parts for modeller assembly
- Numbers included: 1 through 9 (yard-track numbering)
- Caboose Industries part: 210S (Walthers 097-210)
Tip: Perfect for a yard scene where each switch needs its own visible track number — operators identify the track by the numbered switch-stand target.
About Caboose Industries: US manufacturer (Mt. Prospect, Illinois) and the industry-standard maker of model-railroad ground throws — the manual, hand-operated turnout-control accessory used by serious modellers on every scale from N through O. All Caboose Industries ground throws are molded from strong, self-lubricating black Delrin. An external cam provides maximum life and travel; the ingenious internal mechanism gives a positive lock in both straight and curved throws (effective from 10° above horizontal to the full down position). A detent assists in holding the handle horizontal for installation. Both rigid ('R' suffix) and sprung ('S' suffix) versions are produced; sprung models have internal stainless-steel springs to absorb over-travel and let the throw connect directly to the turnout.
