Description
The Atlas 842 is a pair of HO Code 100 metal rail joiners with pre-soldered feeder wires attached — the standard way to add power feeders anywhere on an existing Atlas Snap-Track layout without buying another terminal track section (#840).
How it works: Slip the joiners over rail ends in place of standard joiners; the feeder wires (~6′′ lead) drop through the roadbed to your power bus. Each pair handles one electrical block; on larger DCC layouts, drop feeders every 6 ft / 2 m to maintain clean signal.
