Description
The Fairbanks-Morse H-24-66 Train Master was a 2,400 hp six-axle road switcher built 1953-57 — the most powerful single-engine diesel of its day. CP rostered 21 units (#8900-#8920) in fast freight and passenger service into the 1970s. This is Atlas's N scale Phase 2 model in CP Late Scheme as road number #8913 with factory ESU LokSound DCC sound decoder.
Features: factory LokSound decoder with prototype-recorded FM 38D8-1/8 prime mover, golden-white directional LED lighting, painted safety rails, etched metal grilles, blackened metal wheels, AccuMate® knuckle couplers.
How to use
- Any N scale Code 55 or Code 80 track.
- Plug-and-play DCC/Sound on any NMRA-compliant DCC system; default address 03.
- Also runs on DC with basic sound at higher voltages; full sound function requires DCC.
- Minimum recommended radius: 11". Body-mount AccuMate couplers.
- Pair with the DC versions Atlas 40005395 (#8911), 40005396 (#8913 DC twin), and 40005397 (#8917) for a four-unit CP Train Master lash-up.
