Description
Road number #2014 with factory-installed DCC and onboard sound — the premier version of Atlas’s HO GE Dash 8-40C. The 4,000-horsepower six-axle freight locomotive is rendered in 1:87 HO in Canadian National’s noodle-logo livery, with full ESU LokSound prime-mover, horn, and bell recordings.
Features include a five-pole skew-wound motor with dual flywheels, all-wheel pickup, dual-color LED directional headlights (and number-board lighting), etched-metal grilles, factory wire grab irons, and body-mount magnetic knuckle couplers.
How to use
- Plug-and-play DCC/Sound on any NMRA-compliant DCC system (NCE, Digitrax, ESU, etc.).
- Default address 03 — reprogram to your road number on the programming track.
- Also runs on DC, including basic prime-mover and bell sounds at sufficient track voltage.
- Operates on HO Code 83 or Code 100 track; minimum recommended radius 22″.
- Run as a matched A-A consist with #2017 (10004204).
