Description
A PECO N (1:160) Code 80 left-hand catch turnout with InsulFrog. A catch turnout has only one fully-formed route and a short stub on the diverging side — its job is to derail any unauthorised movement that runs through it the wrong way, protecting the main line at the throat of a siding or yard headshunt.
InsulFrog: the frog itself is insulating plastic — there's a small dead-spot through it, but you don't need any extra wiring for DCC. Plug it in and run.

Wiring
- No extra wiring required — works on DC and DCC out of the box.
- Power feed at the toe end is fine; the closure rails are powered through the point blades.
Compatible motors
- PL-10 below-baseboard solenoid motor (requires a 40 × 24 mm cut-out).
- PL-11 side-mounted solenoid motor — clips on without drilling, ideal for OO/HO Setrack layouts.
- PL-1000 series Twistlock motor for an even simpler retrofit.
- For DCC turnout control, drive any of the above with an accessory decoder (NCE Switch-It, Digitrax DS64, etc.).
