Description
A switch unit that clips either side of an insulating gap in PECO HO/OO Code 100 track and isolates the rail beyond it — useful for parking a loco at the end of a terminal road or siding. Once isolated, you can shut the loco down and bring another out to take the train. PECO also offers this as a pre-made section in the Setrack range (ST-205 / ST-2005); the PL-20 is the kit-of-parts version for use with flex track.

Note for DCC
On DCC layouts, all locos are individually addressable — isolating sections is rarely necessary. Use this primarily on DC layouts.
