Description
The handheld brass probe that pairs with the PECO PL-18 stud-and-tag washers to make a stud-and-probe (passing-contact) control panel. Each turnout's motor wires terminate at two PL-18 studs on the panel; touching the powered probe to a stud sends a brief pulse to the corresponding solenoid coil. It's the most reliable, lowest-cost way to wire a layout-shaped control diagram, and the layout the operator looks at is the panel — no LEDs needed.
