Description
The Micro Engineering 75-152 is a N scale unassembled kit of a 80′ Ballasted-Deck Plate Girder Bridge — the prototype's geometry, web depth, and rivet detail captured in injection-moulded engineering plastic and metal.
About ballasted-deck girder bridges: Ballasted-deck construction lays a solid floor on top of the girders, fills it with ballast, then beds the ties in the ballast just like on regular trackbed. The track on the bridge looks identical to the track approaching it. More expensive and heavier than open-deck, but lower maintenance and quieter — the modern choice on heavy mainlines and high-speed track.
Kit contents: Engineering plastic / metal bridge components and instructions. Unassembled and unpainted — assemble per instructions, paint your railroad's bridge colour (railroad-tuscan, black, olive drab — era and road dependent), then lay ME Bridge Flex Track (#11-1xx series, with wide ties and guard rails) on top to finish.
About Micro Engineering: Micro Engineering bridge and structure kits are the prototype-quality choice for serious modellers — accurately scaled rivet detail, correct girder web proportions, and prototypical paint schemes once you finish them.
