The Micro Engineering 48-102 is a compact rail nipper sized for fine rail up to Code 70 — smaller and easier to manoeuvre in tight spaces than a full-size rail cutter, perfect for N scale, HO branchline work, and on-layout retrofits where you can't get a full-size tool in.
Use: Light-duty rail cutting up to Code 70 — flex track trims, in-place rail cuts, fine work around switch frogs and turnout points. Pairs well with the heavier 48-101 rail cutter for shop bulk work.
