Description
The KATO 20-464 is a 186 mm (7-5/16′′) single-track deck plate girder bridge in Black — a medium-span deck plate girder, longer than the 124 mm #20-460/#20-462.
Deck plate girder prototype: Deck-style plate girder bridges carry the rail directly on TOP of the steel girders, rather than between them — the choice when underclearance permits the girders to drop below the rail. Common on short crossings (30-50 ft / 9-15 m) over creeks, roads, and shallow obstacles.
