The Digitrax EVOXD is the Evolution Express Advanced 5A/8A Duplex Radio Starter Set — a complete top-of-the-line DCC starter set built around the DCS210+ Advanced Command Station / Booster. Everything you need to run a club or large home layout straight out of the box: command station, booster, throttle, power supply, and cables.
Features: 5A / 8A output capacity (multi-scale, supports N + HO + large scale via voltage trim), supports up to 400 locomotives and throttles, prototypical consisting (MU multiple-unit operation), full CV programming on main and on a separate programming track, intelligent short-circuit protection, on-board USB for computer interface and SoundFX sound decoder programming, LocoNet expandability for boosters and occupancy detection.
About Duplex Radio: Duplex radio is Digitrax's bidirectional wireless system — your handheld throttle sends commands AND receives status back from the command station. More than double the range of older UR92 IR systems, and the EVOXD can be mixed with UR92 LocoNet Duplex Radio for extended coverage. No more line-of-sight infrared throttles.

About LocoNet: LocoNet is Digitrax's two-way control network that connects throttles, boosters, command stations, detection blocks, and signal modules across a layout — using standard 6-conductor RJ12 telephone cable. The two-way communication is what enables advanced features like transponding (knowing which loco is where), real-time slot status, and CV read-back from anywhere on the system.
