Description
The Atlas 55 is an HO plastic rail joiner pack, 24 pieces — the black insulating joiners that electrically isolate one rail section from the next while keeping the mechanical track alignment tight.
Where to use them. DC block-control layouts (every cab block needs its rails electrically isolated from neighbors); DCC reverse loops and turntable approaches (the loop's rails must be insulated so the auto-reverser can flip polarity); DCC power-district boundaries (short-protection segments); and around powered-frog turnouts where you don't want the frog's polarity to leak through to adjacent rails. Two insulated joiners (one per rail) cleanly mark every power-district boundary.
Drop-in fit. Standard Atlas joiner dimensions, compatible with Code 83 and Code 100 Snap Track, Custom-Line, and most Code 83 / Code 100 flex track from other manufacturers using the same joiner profile. 24 pieces = 12 complete two-rail breaks.
