Description
The Atlas #2850 is a versatile N-scale hairpin-loop iron fence with spear-finial tops — the kind of decorative wrought-iron fence that lines park grounds, station platforms, government buildings, cemeteries, and the higher-end residential streets in many North American towns. The looped "hairpin" picket pattern with pointed spear finials is distinctively late-19th-century, but the same style stayed in production for decades.
The fence assembles without glue (snap-together) and totals roughly 15.6" if you join all pieces — enough to enclose a small park, a station forecourt, or a long stretch of grade-crossing protection.
How to use
- Snap-fit assembly — no glue required.
- Total fence length when all pieces joined: ~15.6".
- Use along station platforms (pair with #2841 or #2848 stations), park edges, government building grounds, or to dress up a trackside scene.
- Paint flat black, dark green, or rusty brown to match prototype iron fencing; pick the spear finials in gilt for a high-end district look.
- Easily cut to length with sprue cutters to fit between buildings.
