Description
The Atlas #2788 is an N scale Code 80 Snap-Track Starter Set — a complete track plan in a box. It contains every section you need to lay a tested 36" × 24" oval with a passing siding, including terminal joiners for hooking up your power pack. The classic loop-with-siding is the proven first layout for getting trains running, then expanding into a full pike.
Snap-Track is Atlas's signature self-aligning sectional track — molded black ties already include track joiners, so pieces snap together by hand with no soldering, on a tabletop, carpet, or plywood base.
How to use
- Includes the terminal joiners — wire a DC pack (5V-12V N-scale) or DCC booster's two output leads to the terminal joiners and you're rolling.
- Set fits a hollow-core door, 24" × 36" plywood, or a small folding card-table — perfect first N-scale footprint.
- Pairs with any Atlas N Code 80 flex, Custom-Line turnouts, or the #2700-series remote turnouts to expand the layout.
- Add a power pack (sold separately) such as the MRC Tech 6 or any standard N-scale-rated DC pack.
- Compatible with all Atlas N Code 80 track for future expansion — no proprietary lock-in.
