Built on a massive one-piece steel casting, the F30 had a structural durability that kept many of them in service for sixty-plus years. In the 1980s Conrail and other roads began mounting prefabricated \"vans\" onto retired F30 flatcars to house track workers, and these Camp Trains became fixtures on Conrail and continue to operate on Norfolk Southern today. Other F30 chassis were converted to wheel transport flats and continuous welded rail (CWR) cars — workhorses that move through mixed manifests with new wheels, used wheels (complete with bearing details) and giant CWR racks.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eRapido's HO F30A and F30D MOW Flatcar release covers four different van body styles (sleeper, diner, kitchen and office), wheel transport flats with detailed loads, CWR cars with full rail racks, and a return of the tie-flat configuration.
