The H21A rode on 70-ton trucks; from 1948 the PRR rebuilt many as class H21E with a stronger center sill and power hand brakes, and in 1960 more were rebuilt as H21G, most with straight rectangular side posts. Penn Central reclassified later rebuilds as H5, and many cars finished their careers in maintenance-of-way service. This is the first time the H21G has been offered in HO.

Correct details for each sub-class — center sill, sides, ends and brake gear (K or AB as appropriate)

Detailed underframe with brake piping

Separate wire grab irons

Free-rolling trucks with profiled metal wheels; semi-scale metal knuckle couplers

Suggested minimum radius 18"

See the full Rapido PRR H21 hopper run or browse all Rapido preorders.
